Suspects break into apartment, assault woman

Two people are in custody after breaking and entering an apartment on Frood Road and assaulting a woman who lives there, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

The assault happened on Feb. 24. a 25-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man broke into the apartment. The man stood by while the woman assaulted the victim. They both fled the area.

An investigation by the Break Enter and Robbery (BEAR) Unit led to the arrest of both suspects on Feb. 28.

The woman is charged with break, enter and assault, while the man is charged with break and enter, as well as breaching courts orders.
