A planned Omnibus march will take place in downtown Sudbury as part of a national day of action, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

The march will disrupt traffic.

Beginning at 12:30 p.m., participants will leave from Minto Street and travel east to Elgin Street south. From there, marchers will travel north on Shaughnessy Street and then east on Van Horne Street. Marchers will then proceed north on Paris Street in the northbound lanes only. They will then travel west on Larch Street and conclude their march at approximately 2 p.m.

The GSPS respects the right of everyone to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly. Activities may interrupt the normal flow of traffic. Members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service will be present, working with organizers to ensure the safe and orderly movement of traffic and participants.

To assist in minimizing the impact to our citizens, anyone who plans on being in this area during the above time frame is encouraged to take an alternate route, if possible.
