Brampton men busted in Lorne Street motel

Found with cocaine, crack and fentanyl patches

Greater Sudbury Police's drug unit, with help from members of the tactical team, have arrested two Brampton, Ont., men, who are now facing drug-related charges.

The arrests took place Wednesday at 5:10 p.m., when officers with a search warrant entered a Lorne Street motel room. Once inside, they found such items as cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl patches, two cellphones and Canadian currency. 


The men, ages 22 and 34, were arrested at the scene. Both are charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine and fentanyl), possession of marijuana and possession of stolen property.

The 22-year-old suspect is also facing three counts of failing to comply with recognizance and three counts of failing to comply with probation conditions. The 34-year-old is also charged with failing to comply probation conditions.

Both accused were scheduled to appear in bail court today.

Total street value of the drugs seized is $17,860, while $2,415 in cash was seized. A rented vehicle connected to the accused was towed from the motel, taken to a local compound and released to the Rental Company from Mississauga.
