A visit to the drive-thru of a local coffee shop ended in impaired driving charges for a 52-year-old Sudbury man.

While heading through the drive-thru, the driver bumped into another vehicle.

Witnesses spoke to the man, and noticed an odour of alcohol. They then flagged down police officers who were in the area on an unrelated matter.

After an investigation, the suspect was charged with impaired driving and over 80. He is due to appear in bail court March 26.
