Witnesses lead police to arson suspect

A 41-year-old Sudbury woman was charged with arson when she was identified by witnesses for having started a fire near a business on Kathleen Street, said Greater Sudbury Police Service. Firefighters attended the scene on April 7 at 11 p.m.

A 41-year-old Sudbury woman was charged with arson when she was identified by witnesses for having started a fire near a business on Kathleen Street, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

Firefighters attended the scene on April 7 at 11 p.m. A large bin filled with cardboard was burning next to the business. The suspect was located nearby. Witnesses told police she started the fire.

She was arrested for arson and breaching her court orders. She is scheduled for a bail hearing today.
