Missing Sudbury girl found safe and sound

Helena Cheu, 17, was last seen Tuesday morning

Helena Cheu has been located in good health, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

She was located May 21 at 4:45 p.m. in Mississauga with the assistance of Peel Regional Police.

Greater Sudbury Police is asking for the public’s help in locating Helena Cheu of Sudbury, who was last seen at 9 a.m. Tuesday at her residence in the south end of the city.

“Helena may have travelled to the Mississauga/Brampton area, however, at this time, there is no confirmation of that,” police said in a news release Wednesday.

Cheu, 17, is 5-foot-5, weighs about 155 pounds and is of of mixed race. She has long brown hair, hazel eyes and she wears glasses. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue jean jacket and was carrying a black back pack.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call police at 705-675-9171, or Crime Stoppers at 705- 675-TIPS.
