A 25-year-old man is dead following a single vehicle collision June 17 on the Lasalle Extension, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

Zachery Turpin was taken to Health Sciences North in critical condition. He later succumbed to his injuries, said police.

The crash happened around 2 a.m. Tuesday. Lasalle Boulevard between Frood Road and Lorraine Street was closed to allow officers to investigate.

The investigation is still in its initial stages, and a cause has yet to be determined, said Sgt. Valerie Tiplady.
