Drug bust nets more than a pound of cocaine

A man, 36, and a woman, 31, are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

More than 1 1/2 pounds of cocaine was seized Aug. 13 after officers executed a search warrant at a Mervyn Street home, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

A man, 36, and a woman, 31, are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime. Officers also found 13.07 grams of hashish and $1,820 in cash.

Two vehicles were also seized.

A joint investigation with Barrie City Police Service is continuing.
