The Ontario Provincial Police say a man from Alban died in the two-vehicle crash that occurred on Hwy 144 at Sideburn Lake on Sept. 3.

At 7:20 a.m. that day, officers from the OPP's Sudbury detachment responded to a two-vehicle fatal motor vehicle collision, involving a car and a tractor trailer, on Hwy 144, north of Onaping Lake Road.

Police say preliminary investigation reveals a northbound vehicle crossed the centre line and collided with a southbound tractor trailer.

The driver of the northbound vehicle, Serge Tessier, 33, of Alban, was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.

The driver of the southbound tractor trailer was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
