Armed robber hits Lasalle Esso gas station

A man used both a knife and a handgun to rob the Esso gas bar on Lasalle Boulevard at about 5:20 a.m. Sept. 18, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

The suspect concealed his identity and demanded cash. He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured.

The scene has been locked down to allow police to investigate.

The suspect is described as being about six-feet tall, wearing dark clothing including a ball cap and hoodie. There is no further information at this time, said police.

Greater Sudbury Police is requesting any information about this incident be forwarded to investigators or to Crime Stoppers.
