Police had issued a release stating Alain Blais was missing, and hadn't been seen since Sept. 24.

According to Greater Sudbury Police Service, the email apparently got caught up in the service's filters, and released today in error.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service is seeking the assistance of the public in determining the whereabouts of a missing person. Alain Blais, who is 24 years old, has not been seen since the morning of Sept. 24.

He is described as 5-foot-10, with brown hair, brown eyes and a brown beard. He has a thin athletic build. Blais was last seen wearing a black sweater with grey stripes and dark washed jeans. He may be operating a 2008 grey and beige four-door Silverado pickup truck.
