Pedestrian killed following collision on MR 80

A woman died from injuries she received after being hit by a vehicle Sept. 30 on Municipal Road 80 near Elmview in Hanmer, said Greater Sudbury Police Service. The incident happened around 6:50 a.m.

A woman died from injuries she received after being hit by a vehicle Sept. 30 on Municipal Road 80 near Elmview in Hanmer, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

The incident happened around 6:50 a.m. The victim was taken to Health Sciences North with life-threatening injuries. She has since died.

The victim's name is being withheld at the request of the family, said Greater Sudbury Police Services.

The Traffic Management Unit continues to investigate the collision.
