Police seek family of pedestrian killed by train

Through investigation, officers with the traffic management unit now know the identity of the victim of the train/pedestrian collision that occurred Saturday, Oct. 4 in Chelmsford.

The 63-year-old man was living in the Greater Sudbury area, but was not originally from the city. Attempts are being made to locate and notify family members; therefore, his name will not be released.

UPDATED Oct. 4 at 11 a.m.

A male pedestrian has died of his injuries after being involved in a collision with a train in the Chelmsford area Oct. 4.

Foul play is not suspected. The man's identity has not yet been established.

Greater Sudbury Police's traffic management unit is investigating with the help of Canadian Pacific Railway Police.

Greater Sudbury Police are investigating a train collision involving a pedestrian in the Chelmsford area.

According to a press release sent out at 3:40 a.m. Oct. 4, the collision occurred at the Main Street and Municipal Road 15.
