Maley Drive re-opened after crash

Update: Greater Sudbury Police announced they had re-opened Maley Drive at around 10 a.m. Saturday after a vehicle struck a hydro pole. Police found the driver, who was the only occupant, uninjured at a friend's house near the scene of the accident.

Greater Sudbury Police announced they had re-opened Maley Drive at around 10 a.m. Saturday after a vehicle struck a hydro pole.

Police found the driver, who was the only occupant, uninjured at a friend's house near the scene of the accident.

They are still investigating the cause of the crash.

Greater Sudbury Police have closed Maley Drive to traffic due to a vehicle that hit a hydro pole.

Police said they were advised of the accident at 7 a.m.

When officers arrived at the scene, the vehicle was heavily damaged and partially submerged in water.

There were no people near the vehicle when police arrived.

Police have asked drivers to find alternate routes, because there are hydro wires down at the scene.

The matter is under investigation.
