Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers is offering a guaranteed $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of suspects in two recent robberies, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.
The first robbery took place at the Esso Gas bar, 180 Lasalle Blvd. on Oct. 21, at about 3:50 a.m. The description provided for the suspect is male, Caucasian, six feet tall, slim build and wearing a dark hoodie.
Later on Oct. 21, at about 10 p.m., the Kwik Way Store at 594 Lasalle Blvd. was robbed. In this case, the suspect is also described as male Caucasian, six feet tall, slim build and wearing a dark hoodie.
Though not confirmed at this time, investigators believe both robberies may be linked as a result of similarities in physical descriptions, weapons used and the fact that cash and cigarettes were taken at both locations.
Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers is convinced someone has information on the identity of the suspect(s); therefore, a guaranteed $1,000 reward is being offered for tips received before midnight on Friday, Oct. 31 if the information leads to an arrest.
For tips received after the deadline, the standard process for determining reward amounts will apply.
