A RIDE check conducted by Greater Sudbury Police on Halloween night failed to turn up any drunk drivers.

Officers doing the checks on Morris Street, Lorne Street and Elgin Street, did, however, issue 11 Highway Traffic Act tickets, including driving without insurance, failing to stop for a red light and failure to surrender documents.

A total of 212 drivers were checked.

“Police advise no drivers were caught under the influence of alcohol or drugs during this evening's RIDE checks, however remind drivers to carry all documents with them at all times and slow down when approaching any emergency vehicle with its lights activated, including RIDE checkpoints,”a press release from police said.
