Young driver charged with impaired

An 18-year-old Chelmsford man has been charged with drunk-driving-related offences following a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 144. The rollover happened Nov. 2 just before 5:42 p.m. north of Chelmsford, said the Ontario Provincial Police.

An 18-year-old Chelmsford man has been charged with drunk-driving-related offences following a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 144.

The rollover happened Nov. 2 just before 5:42 p.m. north of Chelmsford, said the Ontario Provincial Police.

The driver was taken to Health Sciences North, treated for his injuries and then released.

An investigation revealed he was impaired by alcohol.

The driver is charged with driving while ability impaired, driving with more than 80 milligrams and failing to comply with a probation order.
