Police investigating death of Mountain St. resident

Greater Sudbury Police Service is investigating the death of a 53-year-old Mountain Street resident.

The man hadn't been heard from since Nov. 28, said a press release. Police were contacted Nov. 30 to check on the well-being of the man. Officers had to force their way into the man's home. They found him in apparent medical distress. He was taken to Health Sciences North.

He died Dec. 1.

The criminal investigation division and forensic unit are investigating to determine the cause of the injuries to the victim.
