One impaired driver nabbed in RIDE check

Greater Sudbury Police Service charged one person with impaired driving during a Dec. 18 RIDE check. Officers made demands for two breath tests after checking 226 drivers.

Greater Sudbury Police Service charged one person with impaired driving during a Dec. 18 RIDE check.

Officers made demands for two breath tests after checking 226 drivers. They set up on Frood Road at Burton Street, Lorne Street at Regent Street, Balsam Street in Copper Cliff, Elm Street and Notre Dame Avenue.

Police also handed out five tickets for various Highway Traffic Act offences, including one for driving under suspension.
