A 48-year-old man is dead after Greater Sudbury Police say he crashed his snowmobile on Minnow Lake during the evening of Dec. 23.
In a news release, the GSPS says the snowmobile struck the shoreline causing it to vault into the air. The man was taken to Health Sciences North, where he succumbed to his injuries.
This matter is still under investigation and members of the Traffic Management Unit are asking anyone with information relating to this incident to contact police at 705-675-9171 ext 2416.
The name of the deceased is not being released at this time.
