Greater Sudbury Police Service arrested two men on Monday who were wanted on Canada-wide warrants.

The first offender, a 51-year-old male, was on statutory release for sexual assault, weapons and other offences. He breached the terms of his release, so a warrant for his arrest was issued by Correctional Services Canada. Sudbury police's high risk offender unit was able to contact the man, who turned himself in.

The second offender, a 21-year-old male, was also on statutory release for break and enter, weapons and other offences. The high risk offender unit found the man in downtown Sudbury and arrested him without incident, police said in a release.

They are both being held in the Sudbury District Jail pending a review.
