Police seize $30K in drugs

In addition to the cocaine, police found 74 grams of cannabis marijuana, 48 Fentanyl patches, $43,095 in Canadian currency, $100 in American currency and one collapsible baton.

The drugs have an estimated value of $29,800.

A 26-year-old Quebec man and a 20-year-old Sudbury woman face various drug-trafficking charges after a search warrant was executed on Regent Street.

Both suspects are charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for purposes of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, and possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose.

The male suspect remains in police custody and is scheduled to appear in bail court today.
