Police searching for suspect who stole, crashed car

Greater Sudbury Police are searching for a man who allegedly stole a vehicle Jan. 24 and crashed it minutes later. At around 9 a.m., officers responded to a motor vehicle collision on Grandview Boulevard involving a 2002 grey Chevrolet Tahoe.

Greater Sudbury Police are searching for a man who allegedly stole a vehicle Jan. 24 and crashed it minutes later.

At around 9 a.m., officers responded to a motor vehicle collision on Grandview Boulevard involving a 2002 grey Chevrolet Tahoe. Police had also received another traffic complaint about the same vehicle prior to the collision.

The suspect fled before police arrived on scene.

Further investigation revealed the vehicle was stolen a few minutes earlier while parked outside Kathy's Confectionery on Frood Road.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his early 20s, with unshaven dark facial hair, wearing a 3/4 length black jacket, dark hat and dark pants.
