Police investigate mischief to bus

Greater Sudbury Police is looking for help in identifying the person or persons responsible for damaging the same bus on two separate occasions. A witness told police that, on Saturday, Jan. 17 shortly after 2 a.m.

Greater Sudbury Police is looking for help in identifying the person or persons responsible for damaging the same bus on two separate occasions.

A witness told police that, on Saturday, Jan. 17 shortly after 2 a.m., a light blue/grey hatchback vehicle with three male occupants stopped on Pine Street in Garson. One of the men, dressed in dark clothing, got out of the vehicle and walked over to a parked International bus.

Loud banging could be heard, and damage was done to the door and glass panel at the lower section of the bus door.

The suspects left in their vehicle.

On Monday, Jan. 26, it was reported to police that overnight damage to the same bus occurred. The windshield of the bus was smashed. There were no witnesses on this incident.
