A late-night investigation into a threat complaint saw the Greater Sudbury Police (GSPS) and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) team up to locate a suspect.

On March 5 at around 1:40 a.m., GSPS officers were investigating a threat complaint and were on the lookout for the suspect's vehicle, police said in a news release this morning.

They contacted the OPP for help in locating the vehicle, which was eventually spotted in the area of Paris Street.

Jointly, GSPS and OPP officers conducted a traffic stop on Regent Street and the man was taken into custody.

He has been charged with Uttering Threats to Cause Death and Possession of a Controlled Substance, and is being held in custody pending bail court this morning.
