Greater Sudbury Police rescued two snowmobilers Saturday afternoon who were stranded when their snowmachines got stuck in deep slush on Round Lake.

Police said the snowmobilers were not properly dressed for the weather conditions, and had to break into a nearby cottage for shelter.

The two stranded snowmobilers started a fire in the cottage to keep warm.

The owners of the cottage were made aware of the break-in, and because it was located in the OPP's coverage area, the two snowmobilers were brought to Moxam's Landing to meet with OPP officers.
