Two men face drug-related charges after Greater Sudbury Police seized an estimated $7,400 worth of marijuana on March 15.

In March, the drug enforcement and intelligence units of the Greater Sudbury Police Service entered into a drug investigation with respect to a 63-year-old man from Val Caron.

Through investigation, officers had information that the suspect was involved in the sale of marijuana at a specific hotel in Sudbury.

On March 15, surveillance was conducted and a second man, 54, was confirmed as associated to the suspect.

Traffic stops and a search warrant at a Val Caron residence resulted in the seizure of 744 grams of marihuana.

Both men are charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
