Police seek stabbing suspect

Greater Sudbury Police is looking for a suspect who stabbed another man on March 30. Two men in their 20s were walking on Melvin Street near Mable Avenue around 7: 30 p.m., when they passed another man who was not known to them, said police.

Greater Sudbury Police is looking for a suspect who stabbed another man on March 30.

Two men in their 20s were walking on Melvin Street near Mable Avenue around 7: 30 p.m., when they passed another man who was not known to them, said police.

An argument broke out, which escalated into a fight. During the fight, the unknown man stabbed one of the two men in the leg with an edged weapon. He walked away down Mable Street toward Jean Street.

The injured man was transported to Health Sciences North where he was treated for a non-life threatening injury.

The suspect was a male in his late teens. He is described as tall with long dark hair. He was wearing a coat, grey hoodie and jeans.

Police are asking for assistance from anyone with information on this suspect.
