Superloads from Coniston to Copper Cliff may disrupt traffic

The Ontario Provincial Police is warning area motorists to be aware of potential traffic delays during their travels along the Highway 17 corridor on Saturday, April 11 from Coniston to Copper Cliff between the hours of 7 a.m. and 12 p.m.

The Ontario Provincial Police is warning area motorists to be aware of potential traffic delays during their travels along the Highway 17 corridor on Saturday, April 11 from Coniston to Copper Cliff between the hours of 7 a.m. and 12 p.m.

Police will be escorting Superloads from Lopes Limited in Coniston to the Vale Smelter in Copper Cliff.

The escorts may periodically delay or interrupt the normal flow of traffic in the area.

"The OPP’s objective is to maintain the safe flow of traffic and, when delays occur, restore traffic flow in the safest manner possible," said a news release.
