Val Caron man dead in crash near Kirkland Lake

A 34-year-old Val Caron man is dead after a single-vehicle collision on Highway 65 in the Kirkland Lake area at around 10 a.m. April 15.

A 34-year-old Val Caron man is dead after a single-vehicle collision on Highway 65 in the Kirkland Lake area at around 10 a.m. April 15.

Jason Savard was driving a tractor-trailer northbound down the highway when it went off the road and rolled over, coming to rest in a northbound ditch. He was the only person in the vehicle.

The crash occurred about six kilometres south of Highway 66. The Kirkland Lake OPP have yet to determine the cause of the collision.

An investigation is ongoing.
