Sudbury man dies in collision near Wallbridge

Around 6:44 a.m. on Saturday, the West Parry Sound OPP were called to investigate a single motor vehicle collision about four kilometres north of Harris Lake Road on Highway 69 in Wallbridge Township.

Around 6:44 a.m. on Saturday, the West Parry Sound OPP were called to investigate a single motor vehicle collision about four kilometres north of Harris Lake Road on Highway 69 in Wallbridge Township.

A southbound pickup truck left the roadway and collided with a rock outcropping. The driver, Marc Tessier, 49, of Sudbury, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Northeast Region OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators were dispatched to help West Parry Sound OPP with the investigation. Highway 69 has since been reopened.
