A float plane crashed in Whitewater Lake, in Azilda, Tuesday morning, but the two people on board had only minor injuries, said Greater Sudbury Police. Police responded to a call at 8 a.m.
A float plane crashed in Whitewater Lake, in Azilda, Tuesday morning, but the two people on board had only minor injuries, said Greater Sudbury Police.

Police responded to a call at 8 a.m. Tuesday, and said two men were on the plane's pontoon in the distance.

The plane was upside down and partially submerged in the water, about one kilometre from the shore.

Both men were ferried to shore and were treated for very minor injuries.

The Transportation Safety Board and the Ministry of the Environment have been contacted to investigate the crash.
