A woman was stabbed in the Bessie Avenue area shortly after midnight on Sunday, report police.
The 20-year-old woman suffered an injury to her throat, and was brought to Health Sciences North where she is being treated a for serious, but non-life threatening injury.
Police said they believe the stabbing was not a random attack, but resulted from a personal dispute.
The matter is under investigation.
