Weird release of the day: Garden gnome-napping

We get some strange news releases at NorthernLife.ca. Conspiracy theories, weird products and an awful lot of spam. This week we got a weird one from the Elliot Lake OPP. A rather unusual theft was reported to the police service.

We get some strange news releases at NorthernLife.ca. Conspiracy theories, weird products and an awful lot of spam. This week we got a weird one from the Elliot Lake OPP.

A rather unusual theft was reported to the police service.

Two garden gnomes were reportedly taken from a home on Westhill Road in Elliot Lake last week. The gnomes were last seen at around 1 p.m. June 9.

“At approximately 4 p.m. that day, the victim noticed the gnomes were missing,” the press release said.

“The missing items were family heirlooms which were made by the victim’s father 40 years ago. They are described as having red hats, bright green jackets, dark green pants, grey beards and in a standing position. The victim states the colours are very faded.”

Any person with information regarding the person(s) responsible for this theft should immediately contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or their nearest police authority.
