Hwy. 64 fully reopened after yesterday's fatal crash

Highway 64 between Poirier Road and Caron Road in Lavigne was fully reopened as of 4:40 p.m. June 17.

Ontario Provincial Police Noelville Detachment responded to a single fatal motor vehicle collision on Highway 64 in Lavigne shortly after midnight on June 17.

Highway 64S from Highway 17 to Highway 535 is closed in both directions. A detour is available on Highway 535.

The OPP has notified the province's Special Investigations Unit (SIU) which has invoked its mandate. As a result the OPP will not provide any further information on the accident. 

 

The SIU could not be immediately reached for comment.

Highway 64 between Lavigne and Caron Road was closed overnight due to an investigation of a single motor vehicle collision.

The road closure notice was sent out by the Noelville OPP at around 12:40 a.m. There's no word on how long the highway will be closed, or on injuries to the vehicle's occupants, if any.
