Village Media reporter Kenneth Armstrong is on the scene.

The accident occurred at around 2:15 p.m. just west of Magnetewan River Road. The lone driver of a westbound car slammed into a rock outcropping with enough force to send a piece of the vehicle's engine into the grass at the roadside.

The female driver was transported to hospital by ambulance, but Staff Sgt. Ron Campbell of the Parry Sound OPP detachment couldn't say how seriously injured she is. The westbound lane remains closed at this time.
