The OPP's Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad is asking for the public's assistance in locating a federal offender wanted on a Canada-wide warrant as a result of his breach of parole.

John L. McLeod is a first-time federal offender serving four years for sexual assault with a weapon, sexual assault, assault with a weapon, assault, mischief under $5,000, uttering threats and fail to comply with probation order.

He is from the North Bay and Sturgeon Falls areas.

McLeod is described as native, 37 years old, 5-7 and 134 pounds.
