RIDE check nets driver who blows over 80

One person was charged with blowing over 80 after RIDE checks conducted by Greater Sudbury Police July 11. The RIDE checks were set up at Long Lake Road at Pennala Street, Elgin Street at St. Anne Road and Elm Street at Ethelbert Street.

One person was charged with blowing over 80 after RIDE checks conducted by Greater Sudbury Police July 11.

The RIDE checks were set up at Long Lake Road at Pennala Street, Elgin Street at St. Anne Road and Elm Street at Ethelbert Street.

On top of the over 80 charge, one person was issued a three-day driver's licence suspension, and five Highway Traffic Act tickets were handed out.

Three roadside alcohol screening test demands were issued. A total of 218 drivers were checked by police.
