Police looking for ATV driver after Naughton crash

Greater Sudbury Police are trying to locate the driver of an ATV who failed to remain at the scene of a collision yesterday evening in Naughton. The crash occurred at about 9:45 p.m. on July 16 on Municipal Road 55 in Naughton.

Greater Sudbury Police are trying to locate the driver of an ATV who failed to remain at the scene of a collision yesterday evening in Naughton.

The crash occurred at about 9:45 p.m. on July 16 on Municipal Road 55 in Naughton. Police did not announce the roadway had been re-opened until 4 a.m.

A man was driving a motorcycle eastbound on MR 55 near St. Louis Street when an off-road vehicle entered his lane and the two vehicles collided. The motorcycle driver lost control and was thrown from the bike. He was transported to the hospital by EMS for serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

The off-road vehicle fled the scene without waiting for police to arrive. Witnesses told police the ATV was red.
