Former Noelville officer the new commander for East Algoma

The Ontario Provincial Police have promoted Staff Sergeant Yves Forget to the rank of inspector and named him the new detachment commander role for East Algoma OPP.

The Ontario Provincial Police have promoted Staff Sergeant Yves Forget to the rank of inspector and named him the new detachment commander role for East Algoma OPP.

Inspector Forget has been a member of the Ontario Provincial Police for over 27 years, serving in White River, Caledon and Sturgeon Falls detachments.

He worked in crime and with the Alcohol & Gaming Commission (AGCO), where he was promoted to detective sergeant in 2001. He then transitioned to specialize in traffic functions within North East Region as an area traffic sergeant in 2003, until his promotion to staff sergeant and detachment commander in Noelville in 2012.
