Police seek man who allegedly assaulted woman

Greater Sudbury Police are searching for a 33-year-old man who allegedly assaulted a woman in the hallway outside of her apartment.

The victim, a 21-year-old woman, returned to her Lloyd Street apartment at 2:15 p.m. Aug. 25 , and was confronted by two men. One of these men was known to the victim as Sudbury resident Devlin McCoshen. Police believe the victim was targeted by McCoshen.

An altercation took place, where the woman was threatened and assaulted by both suspects. She received a stab wound from a knife. She was taken to Health Sciences North, where she was treated for non life-threatening injuries.

McCoshen is wanted by police for the following offences: aggravated assault, assault, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, uttering threats to cause death, intimidation of a justice system participant and breach of a probation order.

Police are asking McCoshen to seek legal counsel and turn himself in.
