Stunt driving charges in Rayside Balfour

On Monday, Sept. 14, 2015 at approximately 9 a.m. GSPS observed a white 2009 Chrysler 300 on Municipal Road 35, Rayside Balfour, travelling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle reached speeds of 136 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.

On Monday, Sept. 14, 2015 at approximately 9 a.m. GSPS observed a white 2009 Chrysler 300 on Municipal Road 35, Rayside Balfour, travelling at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle reached speeds of 136 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.

The vehicle was subsequently stopped and the driver, a 68-year-old man, was charged with stunt driving and speeding contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

He was issued a seven day licence suspension. His vehicle was also towed and impounded for seven days.
