Original story:

East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is requesting the public’s assistance to locate a Lively resident, Keith Gofenko, 44, who last spoke to a family member on Sept. 13 by phone from Elliot Lake.

“He advised the family member that he would be hunting in the Portelance and Dolan Lake areas and would be returning home on Sept. 18,” the OPP said in a news release.

Gofenko is a white male, about 5-foot-6 tall and weighing around 210 pounds. He has short wavy blond hair and blue eyes. He is believed to be wearing camouflage hunting attire.

He was driving a 1999 brown Ford Explorer four door sports utility vehicle pulling a trailer with a 14 foot aluminium boat described as silver with red wood at the front.

“A man matching this description was seen leaving Dolan Lake area on the afternoon of Sept. 18, but he has not returned home,” police said.

“The OPP and family members are concerned for his wellbeing and anyone with information related to this incident is asked to please contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.”
