Phone scams: when should you notify the police?

If you have received a phone call from someone who alleges they are from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and that they are working on behalf of the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA), then this is a scam.

If you have received a phone call from someone who alleges they are from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and that they are working on behalf of the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA), then this is a scam.

The GSPS are asking that if you receive a call like this, to contact the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501 to advise them you have received a phone call from the persons perpetrating this scam.
