Sudbury police arrested and charged 38-year-old male with robbery on Oct. 2 following a Sept. 28 home invasion in Hanmer.

The individual will attend bail court Saturday, and will also answer to charges of break and enter, assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon.

Greater Sudbury Police are searching for the suspect in a Sept. 28 home invasion.

The culprit allegedly entered a residence on Gravel Drive in Hanmer at around 5:50 p.m., and assaulted the residents with the intent to rob them. The suspect took the personal effects of one of the victims and fled on foot.

The homeowners sustained minor, non life-threatening injuries.

Preliminary investigation reveals this was an isolated incident, as it's believed the victims were specifically targeted by the suspect. Despite this, police encourage members of the public to secure their residence, even when they're home.

Greater Sudbury Police are looking to identify the suspect, described as a white man, 40 to 50 years old, and 5-9 or 5-10. He was wearing a white hat, beige coat and blue jeans.
