Police forces team up to nab impaired driver

On Oct. 19 at approximately 2 p.m., North Bay Police Service informed the North Bay Ontario Provincial (OPP) to be on the lookout for a possible impaired driver, and a description of the vehicle and person was provided.

On Oct. 19 at approximately 2 p.m., North Bay Police Service informed the North Bay Ontario Provincial (OPP) to be on the lookout for a possible impaired driver, and a description of the vehicle and person was provided.

A short time later, the vehicle was located and stopped on Highway 11, North Bay. 

Upon further investigation, the driver, a 24-year-old man from Huntsville, Ontario, was arrested and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in his system, contrary to the Criminal Code.

The accused was released from police custody and is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay, on Nov. 3, 2015.
