On Nov. 11 members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit were conducting surveillance in the City of Greater Sudbury and observed a drug transaction between two male parties.
As a result of this investigation both men were arrested and charged.
A 32-year-old man from Sudbury faces the following charges:
- Trafficking a controlled substance
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
A 33-year-old man from Pickering faces the following charges:
- Two Counts off Trafficking a controlled substance
- Possession of property obtained by crime
- Obstruct a peace officer
Further to this investigation police executed two search warrants under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act where a large quantity of crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and packaging material were seized.
The total value of currency seized was $14,145. The total value of the drugs seized was $9,000.
At the time of this offence the Sudbury man was on federal parole and as a result of his arrest his parole was revoked.
