Elgin Street attack: Man slashed with edged weapon

A 23-year-old man was injured Nov. 14 after he was confronted and then attacked on Elgin Street by another man wielding an edged weapon.

The victim was slashed in the face during the attack. He was taken to hospital, where he was treated and released. The male suspect, who was known to the victim, fled the scene.

The suspect has short, dark hair, is clean shaven and was wearing a black coat with a hoodie underneath, baggy blue jeans and light brown boots.

The matter has been turned over to Greater Sudbury Police's Criminal Investigations Division.
