Break and enters at provincial park

Members of the Sudbury Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment are investigating two break and enters with mischief, and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect or suspects.

The break and enters occurred sometime between Oct. 20 and Nov. 3.

During that time frame, break-ins occurred at several outbuildings in Fairbank Provincial Park. Substantial damage was caused inside and outside the buildings, police said in a news release. Besides a gas pump being pulled from a cement slab, 1,600 litres of fuel and an assortment of tools were stolen.

The value of the stolen property is estimated at $17,000 and the value of the property damage is estimated at $8,500.
