Greater Sudbury Police are advising the public that a home invasion that occurred last night at Lively residence is not a cause for continued concern for public safety.

At around 11 p.m. last night, GSPS officers were dispatched to a reported home invasion in Lively where an unknown number of culprits entered the residence with one of them demanding narcotics from the occupants of the residence.

Culprits fled the scene and no one sustained any physical injury.

It is recognized any violent criminal act undermines our sense of community safety. In this case, there is no continued concern for public safety in the area as initial information received indicates this incident is not random.

Greater Sudbury Police are investigating a home invasion that occurred in Lively between 10 and 11 p.m. last night.

According to a press release, the two suspects broke into a home on 7th Avenue, threatened the elderly couple who live there with a weapon, and demanded items from the home.

One of the residents — an elderly woman — phoned 911. Once the suspects realized this, they fled the home, jumped into a vehicle, and fled the area.
